IDESA has not identified any restrictions with respect to transportation concerning dimensions and weights of final products.
Regarding internal capacities, IDESA has its own equipment for moving pieces up to 750 tons, 40 axles of SPMTs “Self-Propelled Modular Trailers”. This allows to have great flexibility, being able to move equipment between workshops and from facilities to the port, ready for loading.
In case of high occupation, completed fabrications can be moved to quayside using local subcontracted specialized equipment leased for this purpose. Main Subcontractors has different type of vehicles in order to satisfy our demands: SPMTs, PMTs, self-steering low loaders, etc.
Finally, if necessary, IDESA has worked with international specialized subcontractors. Moreover, it has the capacity to organize any type of delivery according the INCOTERMS required by the client (FAS, FOB, CIF, DAP, etc.).
IDESA uses the port of Avilés as its principal port for deliveries. It is very close to its facilities and all types of shipments are permitted: ungeared vessels, geared heavy lift vessels, pontoons, barges, etc. So, it is possible to load with mobile cranes or with ship cranes (Lo-Lo operations) or load rolling with SPMTs (Ro-Ro operations). In each case, IDESA can subcontract different specialized companies according to the dimensions and weights of the pieces and the vessels.
